Main Purpose of Job<\/strong>
We are seeking applicants from intermediate to senior project schedulers\/planners with specific knowledge and experience in the mining project environment. Candidates must have a deep understanding of both multi-disciplinary engineering and project management principles and practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

PMBOK knowledge, project governance\/gate approval processes with a proven track record are key. All responsibilities, knowledge and experience are dependent on the seniority of the position.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project Schedule:<\/strong>
Establish, maintain and control project baseline schedule;<\/span>
Make use of a Project Management System to plan, schedule and update progress;<\/span>
Ensure that change control on the project schedule is applied in line with the project change control procedure;<\/span>
Ensure progress reporting is performed in line with client standards;<\/span>
Ensure that the project team understand the project schedule, the progress status and the schedule risk;<\/span>
Ensure that progress updates are done, and reports distributed using client templates;<\/span>
Provide the project manager with early warning on potential time overruns;<\/span>
Participate in project meetings;<\/span>
Participate in governance processes;<\/span>
Assess, audit and ensure compliance to project planning requirements through bench-marking and networking.<\/span>

<\/strong>Consultant, Contractor and Vendor Schedules:<\/strong>
Assist during tender evaluation by evaluating vendor\/contractor schedules;<\/span>
Assist with the validation and approval of contractor\/vendor schedules;<\/span>
Ensure that consultant detailed schedules are acceptable, correct and align with the main project schedule;<\/span>
Ensure that contractor\/vendor progress reports are verified and approved.<\/span>

<\/strong>Client Project Management System:<\/strong>
Load and maintain schedules on the system;<\/span>
Load and maintain resource hours on the system;<\/span>
Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the client Project Management System;<\/span>
Assist project cost controller to ensure that information in client Project Management System reconciles with the SAP cost reports;<\/span>
